Headline news out of the Middle East continues, with Iran saying they hit a commercial boat. Crude up and precious metals lower.

By Robert Gottlieb · September 13, 2026

Crude up 2.7% whole gold and silver down ~ 1%, all eyes will be on Crude, Iran and the upcoming FOMC meeting.

The longer-term fundamentals for precious metals remain positive, but in the near term, the stronger USD, high crude prices, and uncertainty over the path of U.S. interest rates continue to drive price action.

For now, patience remains important as we head into next week. For informational purposes only. Not investment advice.

Good luck to all this week.
